Little League Alberta and the Alberta Amateur Baseball Council are excited to announce this competitive travel team tournament opportunity in 2022!


WHAT         Best of the West 13U tournament hosted by Big League Experience

WHERE       Kamloops, B.C.

WHEN        April 21 to 24, 2022

WHO           Little League registered players born January 1 to December 31, 2009 (Players born in 2010 will be considered if short of players born in 2009)

TEAM         Up to 16 players and 3 coaches will be selected for the roster

COST          $525.00 per player, includes transportation, accommodation and meals


Questions and Answers

  • Q:               Who is eligible for this tournament?
  • A:               Players registered in a Little League program in Alberta in 2021 and again for 2022
    • NOTE:         All players and coaches MUST be vaccinated for COVID-19 as per April 2022 standards


  • Q:               How will the team be selected?
  • A:               Players register their interest and one or more indoor evaluations may/will be held


  • Q:               Who are the coaches?
  • A:               The coaches may/will be rostered coaches from 2021, selected by Little League Alberta
    • NOTE:         Coaches transportation, accommodation and a per diem will be provided by the AABC


  • Q:               What is the caliber of the teams at the tournament?
  • A:               Teams will be AAA caliber teams from British Columbia, according to the organizer


  • Q:               How are the players transported to the tournament?
  • A:               The team will be transported by bus from Calgary to Kamloops with a 16U team


  • Q:               What is the accommodation for the players at the tournament?
  • A:               Players will stay four to a hotel room during the tournament, supervised by coaches


  • Q:               Can parents and family attend the tournament?
  • A:               Yes, but they must travel separately from the team, only players and coaches on the bus
    • NOTE:         Players must stay in accommodation provided for the team, not with their parents


  • Q:               What uniform items are provided?
  • A:               The AABC will provide a jersey, cap, socks and undershirt.  Players and coaches must provide their own grey baseball pants and a belt
