The Board has been busy preparing for the 2025 FCLL Annual General Meeting. Please read the important information below if you wish to attend, ask questions in advance, or run for a position on the Board.

The AGM is open to all Members which includes Parents/Guardians of FCLL players and Volunteers.

Further details on the AGM are as follows:

 

DATE, LOCATION & TIME

  • Wednesday, September 17th
  • Deer Run Community Centre (2223 146 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2J 6P8)
  • 7:00pm
  • Agenda will include: financial report, division reports, election of board, volunteer recognition

 

BOARD STRUCTURE IS AS FOLLOWS:

Elected as Individuals by the Members; FCLL requires 3 Executive Directors and the following positions at a minimum:

  • President, 1st Executive Director
  • Treasurer, 2nd Executive Director
  • Vice President, 3rd Executive Director (this ED can have another role on the board as a Director, Officer, or VP)
  • Vice President, Player Agent
  • Vice President, Development
  • Umpire in Chief (UIC)
  • Safety Officer

 

Elected as a Group of Directors by the members; appointed to roles by the Executive Directors (Directors can hold multiple roles where appropriate and possible):

  • All-Stars Division Director
  • Apparel Director
  • Coach Development Director
  • Coach Pitch Director
  • Diamond Director
  • Equipment Director
  • Minors Director
  • Majors Director
  • Officiating Director
  • T-Ball Director
  • Teenage Director

 

The following Volunteer Member roles are recommended and are not elected; they report to the Board of Directors; they are invited to operational board meetings, however, to do not have votes on Board motions; this list can be reduced or added to by the Board, as needed:

  • Casino Coordinator
  • Community & Social Coordinator
  • Fundraising Coordinator
  • Picture Coordinator
  • Social Media Coordinator

 

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

The Board of Directors are elected for a one (1) year term between Annual General Meetings.

Should a Director be elected between AGMs, the Director’s term will still end at the next AGM.

All elected Board Members have voting rights in Board Meetings.

NOMINATIONS DUE: September 3rd.

 

Members can nominate themselves or others (provided the other member accepts the nomination). But the nominations must be submitted by the deadline of September 3rd (no live nominations will be accepted at the meeting).  All nominations must be emailed to the Registrar at: registrar@fcll.ca.
