FCLL has partnered up with the Calgary Cardinals Baseball Association to offer the 2022 Calgary Cardinals Baseball Training Camps.

There will be 3 specific training camps offered, Catching, Hitting & Pitching.  Players can register to attend one of these Camps in February or in March.

The dates for February and March are as follows:

  • February is the 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th
  • March is the 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th

The Camps will be broken down by Baseball Age Group (Baseball Age is the age of the Player as of August 31st, 2022).

The Camps will consist of 2 hours of training over the 4 days noted above (NOTE:  You will need to register for either the February dates OR the March dates, you can not spit the dates between the months offered).

A description of each of these Camps with more details follow:

 

CATCHING:

  • Description: In this catcher specific training we will work on everything from proper technique in all situations behind the plate such as blocking the ball, what to do with base runners and throwing out base runners.
  • Baseball Ages 8-11 will run from 1pm to 3pm
  • Baseball Ages 12-16 will run from 3pm to 5pm
  • Cost is $305 per Player

 

PITCHING:

  • Description: In this pitcher specific training we will work on proper pitching mechanics, arm slot, balance and proper grip.
  • Baseball Ages 8-11 will run from 1pm to 3pm
  • Baseball Ages 12-16 will run from 3pm to 5pm
  • Cost is $305 per Player

 

HITTING:

  • Description: In this hitting specific camp, we will work on proper hitting technique, how to get more power while hitting, how to grip the bat as well as hitting metrics.  This will all be put to use with a ton of reps.
  • Baseball Ages 8-11 will run from 3pm to 5pm
  • Baseball Ages 12-16 will run from 1pm to 3pm
  • Cost is $305 per Player

 

The Camps will be hosted at the Higher Level Sports Academy (1411 33rd Street NE, Calgary, AB,  T2A 5P1).

The Cardinals Covid Protocols currently are as follows:

  • The Calgary Cardinals are not checking Vaccination Records, but are highly encouraging that all Players, if eligible, be vaccinated.
  • Coaches will be masked when they are within 6’ of Players.
  • Players will be masked when entering the facility, while getting ready and when leaving/exiting the facility.
  • Players do not need to wear masks while participating in Training Camps.
  • All Cardinals Coaches are fully vaccinated.
